The Role of Technology in the Classroom
The use of computers and computer software should never be thought of
as an end unto itself. Umajin Creative is being used by teachers today to meet the needs and
demands of childrens inspiration and curriculum goals. There are many opportunities to enhance their students' skills,
interest, or understanding with Umajin Creative as a tool to create unique digital stories and content, in either an individual or group format.
Why Should I Use Umajin Creative?
Easy to use. Umajin Creative is easy for kids to pick up and use. It has been
designed to make using 3D or animation just as easy as using pictures
and sounds.
Content Creation – Umajin Creative is designed to engage and amaze kids who are being bombarded with high quality media from TV, movies and
games . For today's students it is important they can get high quality results – and include
themselves and their friends in their stories with sound, image and
video importing. The Blue/Green screen will open up possibilities
previously only possible in the movies. Special photo brushes will
bring out the artist in everyone.
Designed to create learning. Umajin Creative can be integrated into almost any
curricular activity. Teachers can examine their curriculum with an eye
to opportunities for students to create graphic elements that
demonstrate or apply curriculum-based themes, concepts, and/or skills.
Students can create an almost endless variety of products, including
posters, newsletters, greeting cards, business cards, place mats, slide
shows, booklets, etc. During a unit on ancient Rome, for example,
students could use Umajin Creative to: create travel posters; conduct a slide
show presentation for younger students; write and illustrate a
newspaper; create storyboards illustrating a variety of topics;
illustrate biographical or other essays; devise fictive
autobiographies; create images for poems and stories; make business
cards relevant to occupations studied; conduct research and create
graphs to convey information about the society; or design greeting
cards that demonstrate familiarity with Roman culture and holidays.

Multi-lingual
With English, Māori, German, Korean, Mandarin and Japanese - children
can explore the product interface. With the ability to record their own
voice, and use fonts from many other languages they can create amazing
talking digital books.
